Terms of Service

The following terms and conditions (the "Agreement") govern all use of the Printapoint website (the "Site") and the services available on or at the Site (taken together with the Site, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Overview of the Service

Printapoint is a map design tool that allows users to create customized map posters ("Products"). Products are printed and fulfilled by Printful, a third-party print-on-demand service. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Printapoint does not directly handle printing, shipping, or payment card data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent to use the Service. By using the Service, you certify that you are legally permitted to do so and take full responsibility for your use of the Service.

3. Modifications to the Agreement

Printapoint reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Site. Printapoint reserves the right to limit, suspend, or terminate access to the Service at its sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason including violation of this Agreement.

5. Products and Customization

All Products are custom-made based on your design choices. We strive to represent designs as accurately as possible, but cannot guarantee that colors and details displayed on screen will exactly match the final printed Product. We reserve the right to amend product specifications, pricing, and packaging without prior notice.

Due to the customized nature of Products, all sales are final once an order has been submitted for production. Please review your design carefully before placing an order.

5.1 Downloads and Watermark

Printapoint allows users to download map designs for personal use. Downloaded designs include a "Made with printapoint.com" watermark. You agree not to remove, alter, obscure, or crop out this watermark from any downloaded design unless you have completed a purchase of that design through our Service. Removal of the watermark without purchase constitutes a violation of this Agreement and may result in termination of your access to the Service.

6. Payments and Pricing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By placing an order, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided. Prices are displayed at checkout and may vary based on product type, size, and shipping destination. Printapoint reserves the right to change pricing at any time.

You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes associated with your purchase.

7. Shipping and Fulfillment

Products are printed and shipped by Printful. Delivery times and shipping costs vary by location and are displayed at checkout. Printapoint does not guarantee delivery dates and is not responsible for delays caused by Printful, shipping carriers, or customs processing.

It is your responsibility to provide accurate shipping information. Printapoint is not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses.

8. Returns and Refunds

Because all Products are custom-made, we generally cannot accept returns or issue refunds. However, if your Product arrives damaged, defective, or with a print error, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We will review each case and may offer a replacement or refund at our discretion.

9. Sales Tax and Customs

Applicable sales tax will be calculated and added at checkout based on your location. For international orders, you may be subject to customs duties and import taxes, which are your responsibility and are not included in the product price.

10. Intellectual Property

The design tools, interface, graphics, and branding of Printapoint are the property of Printapoint and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any custom designs you create using the Service.

11. Map Data Attribution

Map data used in Printapoint is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap® is open data, licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF). We support and contribute to the OpenStreetMap community.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Stripe (payments) and Printful (printing and fulfillment). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions. Printapoint is not responsible for the actions, availability, or policies of third-party providers.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Printapoint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Printapoint harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your breach of this Agreement or your violation of any law or rights of a third party.

15. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the jurisdiction in which Printapoint operates.
